BUFFET
SOLD
Buffet Prodige Performance C oboe #26764
We have a Buffet Intermediate/Professional Oboe (made out of durable “African Blackwood”)  which is the recent predecessor with the same key work as the oboe described below, the Buffet Prodige Performance C oboe, and it is serviced and in excellent working condition.  We are in fact calling it a Buffet Prodige Performance C oboe. It has been serviced and is in excellent condition, with newish looking pads, newish looking body, not a tremendous amount of use on this instrument. No cracks or repaired cracks. Comes in the original Buffet case. Brand new they go for $4130 on Woodwind and Brasswind. Priced here reasonably at $2050.00.

The Prodige Performance C oboe features important technical, aesthetic and acoustic improvements that will allow motivated students to progress quickly and experienced players to realize their musical vision.

Instrument technicians in the workshops of Buffet Crampon have completed an intense period of Research and Development to create an instrument with easy-to-play, accurate low notes that allow mastery of the most difficult range. Transitioning from one octave to another is smooth and the mechanics are extremely precise.

Prodige’s sound is rich and full, and comes very close to sounding like a professional instrument. Experienced oboists will be charmed by the acoustic homogeneity of this oboe, and students will quickly develop control over the difficult lower register.

FEATURES
• Enhanced plateau key design brings a flexibility and feeling close to those of Buffet Crampon professional instruments
• More ergonomic placement of spatulas and plateau keys means more comfortable playing for all hand sizes
• Large-headed adjustment screws mean more precise adjustments
• Octave pips in German nickel silver
• Protective satin varnish for body and bell finish shows the wood grain
• Acoustics that are close to the professional range: ease of projection, pitch, homogeneity andflexibility
• Body in African blackwood and Luracast bore make the instrument crack-resistant

SELMER

Selmer Signet #S-2228
This is an older Selmer very intermediate oboe from the 1960’s-1970’s. It has maybe two or three advanced features including the low Bb and at least an extra trill key. Serviced and plays very well with very good pads.

LINTON
LOREE
MIRAFONE
Mirafone Professional Model Oboe, #35757
Grenadilla Wood, Full conservatory, excellent pads and finish. No Cracks. From the exact same era (1960’s-1970’s) as the “Hans Kreul” models (done not say Hans Kreul on the bell). Made by the Kreul Company.  Plays well. Good price for a professional oboe. $1875.
MISC.
European model
no name, (a stencil).  Full Conservatory with all needed keys. Tested and plays very well.
$990
WINDSOR
Windsor intermediate/professional oboe
This is an interesting oboe. It says inside the case “Windsor…Elkhart, IND”.  It is made out of some kind of high quality, durable wood, Grenadilla or that African Blackwood that the Buffet Prodige model on this page is made out of. Very similar key work of that Full Conservatory type as found on the Mirafone actually. Not a lot of these made apparently. Serviced and plays very well. Could be a sleeper. Priced incredibly at $1175.00.
