Teaching experience

I am a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, '87 with a B.S. in music education. I have studied with the great saxophone and woodwind artists David Bilger, Joe Lovano, Bill Barron, Ralph Lalama, Glenn Guidone, Tom Strohman, Ralph Shiner, as well as, for music theory Steve Giordano and Kirk Reese.

I have been teaching privately on a full-time basis since 1991. Before that I was first a substitute teacher in the school system and taught at Town and Country Day School in Harrisburg for 2 years.

As a private instructor I was affiliated with Menchey Music in both York and Lancaster, PA for 10 years from 1991-2001. I am and have been associated with Lititz Academy of Music, Lancaster Conservatory of Music and Pick Music, York, PA since 2001 as well as teach on a limited basis out of my home.”

I presently carry between 30-35 students from beginners to advanced, from ages 9 to 70. Students of mine have made district band on saxophone and clarinet and several have gone on to become music teachers and or successful musicians.
